The General Manager, will lead the overall operations of the Business Unit, in the achievement of business objectives, by developing and executing effective business strategy. The GM will measure safety, quality, delivery, sales, marketing, production and cost performance, while leveraging data to drive continuous improvement. The GM will develop a world class team that is focused on results and culture.
Brand Marketing, Trade and Product Marketing, Sales Operations, Production or Manufacturing Management, Human Capabilities Development and Asset Utilization.
Key Area of Activity:
Gain immediate acceptance by the Executive Chairman, the Managing Director and other Management team, as an individual with strong managerial, leadership qualities as well as professional integrity.
Determine in conjunction with the Managing Director strategic vision, objectives and operating criteria for the company, for immediate, medium and long term.
Expertise in developing and managing business operations in order to drive the required market share, revenue and profit of the Organization.
Good knowledge of P&L to drive overall profitability of business and accountable for strategic utilization and development of available resources, to achieve organizational goals.
Collaborate with supply chain leadership to develop and execute business strategies including production, sourcing, planning and logistics.
Oversee the sales function of the business unit. This includes setting sales goals, forecasting successful meeting of sales goals and assuring responsive sales.
Develop sound work plan according to company’s objectives.
Build organizational capability by aligning Human capital with the business mission, vision and value focus on structure, people and process improvement opportunities.
Implement established goals and plans into various positions within the business function/unit.
Assess and evaluate the performance of each personnel within the functional
business unit and devise plans for improvement.
Create a functional reward system and KPI index for the business unit.
Apply consequences management system when required.
Review financial statements, sales or activity reports to measure productivity or goal achievement to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement
Champion a high commitment and performance culture by actively communication company’s vision, mission and value.
Develop and manage the operation’s operating budget to ensure achievement of financial objectives.

Must be between the ages of 35-50
Must have worked in a company with annual turnover of 30 million US Dollars or managed at least 300 or more team members as GM. Sales and brand priority.
Minimum of 10 years cognitive sales experience in FMCG multinational company.
At least 5 years on General Manager Level.
Bachelor’s and Maters degree in business related field.
Membership of a recognized Professional Body.
Experience in Consumer Brand Management is essential.
A stable career history with a demonstrable track record of success.
Time management skills in prioritizing tasks to ensuring that projects are completed by deadlines and streamlining processes to maximize productivity
